Better Than Ezra come an alternative rock trio based within New Orleans, Louisiana. A band was formed around 1987 by Kevin Griffin while he and a more original members were attending college at Louisiana State University. By 1988 Better Than Ezrthe had freed a demonstration cassette tape, Chime Street Studio Demo Tape. Inside 1989 the band released the cassette-sole album, Surprise. It freed their foremost nationally-distributed album Deluxe in 1993. It was freed in Two different labels, a independent Swell Records first, and in the future national label Elektra Records. That equivalent month, "Good" became the major pop hit, reaching the #1 position on the Billboard chart. Subsequent album releases include Friction, Baby (Elektra, 1996), How Does Your Garden Grow? (Elektra, 1998), and Closer, (Beyond Records, 2001). A band too freed a B-Sides and rarities collection artifakt on its own "Ezra Dry Goods/Fudge" label within 2000. late 2004 saw a band at the same time releasing an official survive concert DVD, besides as an official survive album, each entitled Live in New Orleans at the House of Blues - New Orleans (Sanctuary Records).
